An Evening of Confession

A bright orange sunrise
A sparkling velvet ground
"Is this a Dream?"
An near empty side walk

All that was there
Were flowers so colorful
"Is this for real?"
They were smiling and cheerful

A Scent of flowers swept by
The orange sun lit up the smile
"Such beautiful eyes!"
My eyes were hazed for a while

Not just the smile
The whole figure shone
"Is she an angel?"
I was there alone

She walked up to me
My heart is pounding
"This isn't a dream."
She's right in front of me,
Smiling

I was waiting for you
I'm happy you came
"Were you waiting for long?"
No, I know the time you come

I know the time you come here
Because I was always watching you
"And I too couldn't help but watch you"
And that's why I've come here

I can't help but tell you
I wanted you to know
"And I too wanted to tell you"
I want you, I love you

I hugged her gently
I caressed her long hairs
"You are my Angel"
And then she said
You are My World.

=============

Despite my lousy Poem writing skills (or so I think...) I wrote it in 15 minutes - This is the fastest poem I've written till date (which otherwise takes a few days). And yes, I wrote it out of my own mental frustration of not coming across any "Non Sad" poems all over the internet and the blogs I follow. So, thanks to Chocolover and Samadrita for driving me nuts with their really good but really emotional poems about sad girls (No offence or sarcasm to them here... Don't take it the wrong way Please... -__-). This poem is here because they indirectly motivated me somehow...

And yes, I wrote this while listening to the OST of "ef - A Tale of Memories" that is composed by TENMON and Eiichiro Yanagi. Their Beautiful compositions (which include "I'm here...", "Forget me not" and "Countdown") gave me the imagery to write this poem. I recommend this Anime to all anime lovers and the OST to all Music lovers. The music is really superb in this Anime OST... truly inspiring for me. :)

I wouldn't call this a 'lousy poem' but, I sure'd call it a master piece!! :)

@Selenium: Well what were they? I'd really like to know what other people think of the poems... ^_^

Haha I'm not taking any offense anyway. In fact you're quite right about the fact that the net is strewn with sad,emo poems..so it gets monotonous for the readers.
Kudos to you for writing a cheery one.I like the rhyming lines and simple emotions :)

P.S:Ef-a tale of memories was a weird kind of show...I think.

@ayu ::> ef-A Tale of Memories is Melodramatic but it didn't have a sad ending... Thanks :) I hope one day you have this kind of a rendezvous.

@Schrei ::> Thanks for tagging it a "Masterpiece". I'm at a loss of words ^^; And I've replied to your comment on your blog.

@Samadrita ::> Thanks :) And ef - A Tale of Memories may have been weird. But the Art and Music (things which drive me) captivated me completely. I guess I'll post about it :P

@Everyone who commented so far ::> Thank you, thank you, thank you. You're positive comments made me feel that I'm not as lousy in Poetry as I think myself to be :D
I feel like writing one again now ^^;

@Selenium: Well the part when you said:
I mean leaf should be with leaf and tree should be with tree. This kinda pairing makes it illegitimate?
..is true. Well actually in that bench lovers used to come once. but now they don't so it feels lonely. but one day a maple feel on it and they fell in love.... :D That all i meant. But Im really glad people can interpret it in many different ways! :)

And yea, I guess you can say that I was able to follow the dialog.. :)

@Selenium: 1>Well, no actually I've written this based on my best friend (When I was in chennai), but am currently not able to see her due to locations. So I wrote this remembrance of her!^_^
2> No, the narrator wasn't suffering from any probs. At some time in life, people wish they could go back to the happy days. So This was one of those happy days.
