A Calender of Memories...

I was remembering this Piano instrumental that appeared in the English version of Cardcaptor Sakura. The episode was titled "A Calender of Memories" and consisted of a song that Sakura's brother plays on the Piano while remembering his mother. The tune really had the power to generate waves of nostalgia within anyone. It was that good. I'm posting the original video from you tube. Have a feel of it yourself :)

And now comes my latest creation. I've tried to make a copy of this song. But to tell the truth... I think I failed :(

Not only did the dynamics of a Piano gave me a tough time when I was arranging the notes... it seems that there were lots of semi-chords and measures in the song that I skipped totally reducing it's feel. Because the real name of this song and it's Music Sheet are not available anywhere on the net, my job was a lot difficult because I had to transcribe the music on my own... and I'm bad at transcription. All I know about this song is that it was composed by some guy named Jack Lenz.

I post this song (In a file factory widget, you tube is banned in my hostel connection) to actually describe the difficulty in copying music. It's difficult enough for me to play this song on my own... add to this the fact that I had to set volume of each individual note of the Piano to make it sound as real as possible... you can't expect a perfect job out of an amateur like me. Despite all these negativites... I post this song because... well because I really had nothing better to post :P

I'll continue improving this song as and when I get ideas to improve it. Also if I find a music sheet for it... I'll directly record myself playing this song :D

For now just learn a lesson from me - It's a lot easier to make new stuff up rather than copy or cover already existing ones...

Here is the song - >

@Ayu ::> Well, maybe because you haven't seen the english version. In the Original Japanese version, they've used a different song titled "Nukumori no Kioku (Memories of Warmth)". It's on youtube. Search and enjoy the organ tune.

@Chocolate Lover ::> Thanks :)

I didn't listen to the original piece but your version of it sounds pretty soothing to the ears.
You have some serious talent.
Oh and before I forget I pretty much love all your creations. :)

P.S:The YT video you posted is taking a really long time to load.
